3 POINTS=65% INCREASE
4 POINTS=90% INCREASE
5 POINTS=120% INCREASE
6 POINTS=150% INCREASE

8 POINTS=220% INCREASE
9 POINTS=260% INCREASE
10 POINTS=300% INCREASE

So, for example, a moving violation of 70 in a 55 mph zone will increase your premium by 45 percent for three years. Below is an example of what a conviction of 70-55 mph zone will cost you if you are convicted (this example assumes your yearly insurance is $800.00):

First year: 45% increase x $800.00 = $360.00
Second year: 45% increase x $800.00 = $360.00
Third year: 45% increase x $800.00 = $360.00

Total increase over a three year period = $1,080.00
